Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we are asked most often about classical Pilates in The Hague.
Who is Pilates suitable for?
Pilates is suitable for anyone who wants to be conscious about their body, regardless of age, physical level or physical condition. The studio welcomes people from 15 to 85 years: from athletes who want to improve their performance to people recovering from an injury, surgery or pregnancy, and everything in between.
Do I need Pilates experience already?
No. The Pilates method is accessible to everyone, regardless of age, physical level or physical condition. In a small group everyone gets enough attention and guidance, and the trainer works on individual needs. For a start tailored to you, private and duet sessions are also possible.
I have never done Pilates. Which class is right for me?
If you have never done Pilates and you have no physical complaints such as a hernia or other spinal conditions, shoulder, knee or hip problems, you can join a beginner group class on the Mat or a beginner group class on the Reformer, where you train on all the equipment. If you have physical complaints, are recovering from surgery or pregnancy, or want all the attention for yourself, a private session is the best choice. If you are unsure what suits you, do not hesitate to contact us for advice.
How long is a session and with how many people?
All sessions last 60 minutes. A reformer session is in a group of at most 5 people, a Tower class at most 7 people and a mat class in a group of at most 10 people. In addition, private sessions (1 on 1), duet sessions (two people) and trio sessions (three people) are possible, always with a certified Pilates trainer.
How can I sign up?
You can sign up by filling in the contact form on the website or by calling 06-30183433 for a telephone intake.
What do I need for the class? In other words: do I need to bring anything?
In principle you do not need anything special for the class. Wear sports clothing in which you feel comfortable. For hygiene reasons we work in socks, so it is nice if you wear clean socks. Clothing with buckles and zips and wearing jewellery during the class is not allowed.
When is the studio open?
Monday to Wednesday from 09:00 to 21:00, Thursday and Friday from 09:00 to 18:00. On Saturdays we give workshops and Teacher Trainings and on Sunday the studio is closed. The daily class times are on the schedule.
Are the classes given in Dutch?
Depending on who is in the class, the class is given in Dutch and/or English.
Am I tied to a subscription?
No, we work with 10-session cards, which are valid for 13 weeks.
What is your cancellation policy?
Every class can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance.
